"Although child focussed, I found I actually learnt lots of strategies to support my own mental well-being as well as that of my child"

The Outdoor Therapy: younger will guide you and your 7-9 year old through the DNA-V model using fun exercises and activities whilst making the most of the outdoor setting.
Each session focusses on a different area of the DNA-V model and will give you skills to take away and apply outside the sessions.
By the end of the course you should have a range of skills and activities that you can apply after the course finishes.
You will be provided with our course completer programme to help you continue moving towards the things that matter.
SHOOTS:
Space to Be
School yrs 6-7
"The location was perfect to help you feel grounded and the activities have given my children and I some ways to think about things differently"

Do you ever feel stuck as if a thought or feeling has got hold of you and you can’t shake it off? Maybe you notice yourself getting angry at someone you care about and then later don’t know why.
Would you like to get out more and learn new skills in a fun atmosphere?
Would you like to meet new people and be able to share experiences together?
This course guides you through the DNA-V model focussing on each of the domains using fun outdoor activities and exercises. Each section has a different focus so that you are able to learn about and apply the skills in each session.
For the 10-12 group parents are encouraged to attend all sessions with the young person. This provides you both with the opportunity to connect and learn skills together. In this way you both benefit from the course and support each other to apply the skills afterwards.
STEMS: Space to Be School yrs 8-10

Do you want to be able to be the person you want to be without thoughts and feelings getting in the way?
Do you want to live a life that is about choosing to grow towards things of value and flourish rather than avoid?
Do you want space outdoors with others having fun and exploring who you want to be?
For the 13-15 year old group you will get to do outdoor activities (build a shelter, hammocks, crafts) explore the outdoors, and learn skills that you can take away with you (DNA-V) that help you be able to be more flexible in responding to difficult thoughts and feelings.
Parents are encouraged to attend the first session and also invited to the final portion of the last session. For the intervening sessions parents/carers are sent written information about the key themes and activities.
